In case you were crushed by the shocking news of Betty Whites death, rest assured she is alive and well!
Her death report was just another in a long string of web hoaxs. The actress best known for her roles on the Mary Tyler Moore show, Golden Girls and Hot in Cleavland, is reportedly doing just fine!
Snopes has confirmed the hoax which began with a posting in Empire News, in September 3, 2015 is a complete hoax. The Empire site clearly states it is a satiricle site but due the short attention span of most readers that fact is never seen and thus the hoax spread like a wildfire.
Thankfully our American treasure is still going strong! Maybe she'll add this to her material for a new appearance on Saturday Night Live? We can only hope!
